So, how are you dealing with your choices today? Are you surrounding yourself with defeated, Debbie Downer people? Or are you seeking out the company of wise and caring individuals who can share from a history of good choices (and who have learned from their own past bad ones!) to lift you up?
I sincerely believe the choices I make define me and prepare me for success both mentally and in my Real Estate portfolio. The proof of this comes from “The Book of Proverbs” in The Bible, also known as The Book of Wisdom. Part of Proverbs 23:7 reads, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” What this means is your choices influence how you see yourself and, consequently, the attitude you take when faced with challenges. Some people’s choices are great, others mundane, some self-destructive, some defeatist, and some just plain evil.
The hardest thing in the world is to choose to react positively to serious changes. How can you avoid falling into a trap of negativity?
As a businessman, I take the view that there is no such thing as a “No Win” situation. And I surround myself with people who take that same attitude. That doesn’t mean it’s unnecessary to ever cut my losses. But I surround myself with a group of Trusted Advisors I know will give me the best possible advice. And I trust myself, and have a strong enough view of myself, to quickly adapt to and face any change.
Remember—every Real Estate Investing problem has a solution! Keep a good attitude, surround yourself with good people, and listen to honest advice.
